Tanking kits are an excellent way of ensuring a wet area, shower, or wetroom does not leak water. Sealing a wetroom using a waterproof and elastic membrane creates a totally impermeable surface for tiling onto. Primer is used initially to first seal the surfaces being tanked. Joints and cracks should be sealed with Mira 4400 Multi-coat, and Safe Coat Fibre Strips, before Multi-coat is again used to tank the whole shower or wet area.
